My Candy CD622 dishwasher will not fill, I can fill it by hand and it will wash and pump out ok, anybody know which component is at fault

Check you water supply in is ok ie switch off water supply on main pipe in and then remove pipe where it goes into washer and put pipe in bucket and then turn water back on, if water comes out then sounds like your water inlet valve is stuck, fit a new one for about £30 if no water comes out then your supply in is faulty.

You would need to check if there is power going to the water inlet valve with machine set to wash cycle, if there is then it is probably the solenoid valve (but check water filter isn't blocked where inlet pipe connects to machine), if there isn't it could be programmer or water level switch. ALL THESE PARTS OPERATE AT MAINS VOLTAGE.
