how can i get my car radio to work?

the radio in my 1995 corsa 1.2 keeps going to safe mode when i switch it on i tried in another corsa and it works ok does anybody know what might be the problem

Check for +battery power supply on the wiring connector. One of it should have permanent supply while another one would have same supply when ignition key is turned to 'ACC'. If either one is missing, check for blown fuse along the wiring line.

Sorry I could not give you exact color code of wire because European cars use different color codes from Japanese makes. After market radios usually uses yellow and red for the two power supply lines. Some brands are not specific in using which color for which. Black is the negative ground.

(autoelectrician) you have either blown a fuse in the panel under the steering wheel, or an after market stereo has been fitted before hand, and the red and black wires behind the stereo cage will have been swopped over, if so swop them back to original

Does the radio work with ignition off ?? if not, check the permanent supply to the radio,you need a permanent supply to hold the code.
