Have 5yr old Ariston A1635 Advantage (Margherita 2000)washing machine that starts wash cycle, but after a while, dial turns continuously. Engineer has fitted 1 new board at his workshop which appeared to function when drum was empty, but problem repeated when we tried first wash. Replacement board was then fitted from machine that was known to be in good working order, but same fault happened in first wash cycle.

there may me loose conection on a wiring near the heating element. try to pull the wiring one by one because the rubber may be ok but inside it is cut
