I have a Compaq (HP) nx6110, how do I remove the keyboard?

I have removed all the external screws, on/off bezel cover and LCD screen. There is a screw or something holding it close to the top of the keyboard in the middle. I do not see anymore screws, I have even popped some of the keytops off looking for screws. There are some weird looking clips at the top of the keyboard, but removing them do not reveal any screws. Please help me!

how to remove the keyboard to replace the memoryschip in (HP) Compaq6110

Ben, August 2010
Disregard ALL of the previous answers. It takes less than 3 minutes.
Step 1. Remove the single screw on the memory bay cover.
Step 2. Remove the two screws - one at either end of the bay.
Step 3. Release the 4 clips between the function keys by sliding them downwards.
Step 4. Slide the keyboard upwards and outwards.
Carefully pull out the zero force insertion ribbon cable.
Replace in reverse order.
These instructions are also for replacing the cd/dvd drive.

Remove the screws from underneath, then look at the row of Function keys. Between the F4 & F5 and between F8 and F9 are small tabs. Use a screwdriver to push these down and the keyboard can be removed.

2 screws underneath the battery, and then 2 screws under the RAM cover, remove these and the top strip will clips off and then the keyboard will slip out.

Manick, October 2007
The strip above the keyboard pops off. There are two screws on the back of the case that hold it in from the back. Once those are removed you can start prying gently at one end and work your way across popping it loose. It makes a fairly crisp snap when the tabs release. Once that cover is removed you will see the screws that hold the keyboard in. You unscrew the top of the keyboard and it hinges up. Be sure to release the keyboard cable from the computer before attempting to completely remove the keyboard.
