keyless entry fault vectra?

keyless entry fault for my 1999 vectra. the light still flashes but does not unlock the door

on mine after replaceing battery, u get in shut the door put the ign key in, turn it to the first click an press the button on the key, this then blips the central lockin on and off and u have re programed the key, hope this helps
