how to change a drive belt on dyson dc 04 model

Go to this Page it shows how you strip down to the clutch which from all the information I can find has to be completely replaced. I bought a set of belts for DC04 only to find this out. Also a bod on the net selling the information for (£9.99) that you will get free if you go here.

I can't find a way of stripping down the clutch so will have to resort to buying the full assembly at about £17.99 + PP.

The hard part is locating the clips under the Yellow clutch cover but a bit of brute force with 2 small screwdrivers did the trick. Good Luck it has taken me Half Sunday afternoon while watch Lewis Hamilton come 2nd again Brill. Hope this helps

there are 2 belts, 1 from motor to clutch then to brush, assuming its the motor, remove brush cover, then remove screws above and below the cleaner, take bottom off and you have access to belt 1, you may if hands are small enough get to belt 2 (motor)
