Having the exact same problem! Only a brown screw and a thing with a red cap on it. Nobody seems to believe me!

I've got the same problem, I've got a Worcester 28i boiler, the gas keeps going off when I run the hot water so we get a little hot, lots of cold, a little hot, lots of cold. Makes showering a nightmare. The manual said press reset. No reset button on the top. The above says between ch and hw lights. My boiler doesn't appear to have these lights or a button. The last time I got a plumber out to fix this, he did appear to do something to the top of the boiler where the reset button is supposed to be but I can't find a button of any description there. There's just a nut looking thing and a little tube with red cap on it. Any ideas anyone??
