How can I fix my Aiwa AV-D58 receiver?

The unit turns on for a few seconds then turns off again.

My Aiwa AV-D58 is stuck on the ECO with red indicator ON, I cannot turn the unit ON Can anyone help

Easy fix!!!

The wiring design on these is poor. I have the D-62 series and had the same problem. When a speaker wire is inserted into the terminals on the back, some wires can break off inside the unit and they short out on the inductors (just coils of wire) on the circuit board.

If you remove all the screws on the sides and rear of the unit, take the cover off, and trace from the speaker terminals to the inside of the unit, find the piece(s) of wire and pull them out. Might need to use tweasers.
reassemble the cover and screws and it will work like new!!!

Were you able to get it to work?
Mine started doing something similar, doesnt turns off but no sound, every thing on console seems to display ok, but no sound.

Any help will be appreciated.
