Potterton Puma 80 - Heating won't switch off?

Even though the central heating switch is set to off - the central heating won't turn off unless the boiler is switched to standby. Hot water responds to demand no prob. Anyone got any suggestions?? thanks.

Check the 3way 'boiler' switch (constant/off/timed) if faulty this may give constant signal regardless of its position.

2 is to high 1.5 bar is the most you need they will run right down to 0.7 bar. if your loosing pressure and its not the prv ( overflow ) you have a leak some where under the floor may be
that amount of water in that time will evaporate you may not find leak till it gets much worse.

thanks craig - 1 more question, the pressure keeps dipping down to about 1 bar - this seems a bit low for the system. However if I top up the water in the system to increase the pressure to around 2, it drops back down to around 1 within a couple of days. Can't see any leaks in the system, no drips from the overflow and no complaints from the flat downstairs! Is that necessarily a problem? thanks
