I have a problem with my Baxi 105 combi boiler?

I have a problem with my Baxi 105 combi boiler, when it has not been in use it sometimes does not work , On the fault icons the low pressure/pump fault one flashes, to get it to work you have to switch the central heating on at the timer switch then go back to the boiler and turn the 3way selector switch to 0 then back to central heating and the boiler then lights and works O.K.

i have had the same problem with my baxi, it is usually the push rod pin stuck in position due to limescale. The pin can be found on the left hand side of the boiler just above the 3way diverter valve, it activates a micro switch.

Firstly check the pressure reading,it should be around 1.5 bar.Secondly check there is no air present within the system by bleeding all the radiators. Once you have bled the system check the pressure again that it's not dropped. Now remove the front cover by loosenig the two screws on the front panel. Push the cover upwards once they are loosened and remove cover by pushing it upwards. Once removed you will see to the right hand side the systems pump and above it will be a small black plastic screw knob. Turn this anticlockwise slowly. This will eliminate any air within the sytem. This should resolve your problem. I have the same problem when my system hasnot been used for some time. This always cures my problem.
