How do I fix remote for Panasonic NV-VP30?

I have a Panasonic NV-VP30 dvd/vcr combo which was working fine early last night. I finished watching my dvd and powered it down.

This morning on power up, the remote did not work at all on dvd or vcr, but it does work with the TV when I switch the remote to TV.

The dvd/vcr operates normally from its panel buttons but won't respond at all to any command from the remote whatsoever. This is even when I have the remote right next to the IR sensor (which I assume is between the on/off switch and the eject button by the VCR).

Any hints or tips on how to get it to work?

Thanks in advance...

What if i accidently exit the main menu and forgot to set back on the right frequency?

I got this problem as well... it happened after I switched VCR1 to VCR2 to see if that would fix another problem. But now the remote doesn't reply to anything, not even to pressing and holding down ENTER and either 1 or 2 at the same time...
help!

The NV-VP30 has two available remote frequencies, named as VCR1 and VCR2 in the settings Menu/Other on the main unit.

You may have the remote set to the alternative remote frequency.

You need to match the Handset to the Main Unit. ie. Both need to be set to the same frequncy, either VCR1 or VCR2.

To alter the handset frequency, press and hold down ENTER and either 1 or 2 at the same time.

If it doesn't work with ENTER+1 = VCR1, you should try ENTER+2 = VCR2.
