Bosch WFF1201 washing machine motor?

Bosch WFF1201 washing machine went pop (as opposed to bang!) and blew rcd. After that failed to rotate although runs through cycle. Changed motor brushes which were worn out, still no joy. There is current to the motor through one cable only (of six) There is no current to brushes. Current seems to run to small metal component in motor circuit board but no further.
Is this component / circuit broken?
Can it be replaced or is it a new motor?
Could it be something else, e.g. main washing machine control board?
