i have a homelite textron chainsaw?

i have a homelite textron chainsaw and the chain keeps loosening how do i fix it
Ben, April 2007
make sure to put upward pressure on the bar while you adjust chain tension.otherwise the pressure will push the bar loose as you cut.use thread locking compound on the studs if the nuts wont remain tight.

Re: Ted's comment. Make sure the lock nut behind the adjustment screw is in place.

Ken, April 2008
loosen the 7/16th inch nut that holds the bar on. there is an adjustment screw in the front behind the bar. snug it up and then tighten the nut again.
