many washers do not have a real easy access like the front or rear panel that comes off. Frequently, as with the kenmore washers you access the motor or transmission from underneath. to access the door switch you may have to move the top forward to release the clip that holds the lid to the body of the washer, there are flat metal springs that hold the lid in place.
