The boiler fires ok and the main burner ignites however every 20/30 secs you hear it try and ignite again. when it does this you see the main burner extinguish for a fraction of a second. ie the flames drop down and immediately come back.
I replaced the Electronic control unit, Spark Earthing bracket, Electrode and elkectrode lead. still the same.
I suspect the gas valve.
Any ideas would be welcome.

I am after an obsolete part number 407675 (ignition electrode) for potterton 10-16 electronic boiler.
I have tried and tried but no luck.
Has any one got this?

I had exactly this problem with mine a year ago, and it was the pcb which cost me £43 reconditioned and was easy to fit. My gas valve has now gone and I can't locate a replacement part, any ideas?
