goodmans tv f16 chas?

it has frame collapse i have replaced the out put ic tda3654
the supplies to the chip seem ok although i have no circuit
but have checked the same ic on other circuits .when tv is swithed on a blue line appears imeadiatly across the screen
but short on both ends by about 1 inch of scan then normall frame collapse after about 1 minit any ideas

there is no system switch on this set i have notticed the supply voltages seem a liitle high about 35v i would have expected about 25v and a 12 v supply

Long shot..... Is there a frame collapse service switch that has been moved to the 'service' position by accident.

Some years ago, when I was working for a certain Japanese company we had a set returned that had taken up many hours of the dealer's time with this problem. Moving the switch back to the correct position restored normal operation.

This might explain the brightness variation in the symptom you describe.
