how can i fix my epson stylus c46 printer?

My printer will not print and a message on my screen is saying "parts in your printer are now in need of service" what do I need to do to find out what the problem is?

The reason the lights are flashing is because the counter needs resetting, take out the 4 ink pads at the rear of the printer and wash all the ink out untill they are white again, you will need to remove the cover to do this one screw at back and 2 push clips 2 clips at front use small screw driver to release front.when the pads are dry put them back.
you will need to download the ''SSC SERVICE UTILITY'' from http:www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml. run this and confiqure it for C46 printers:

Then close the window useing the "X" in the top right hand corner. An icon will appear in your system tray, looking like a printer with a coloured triangle in the top corner. Right click on this and select "protection Counter -> Show current value if it says 8301 it needs resetting back to protection counter click on reset counter switch printer off then back on your printer should be ok now.

How Can I Fix My Printer, The Problem Is That The Green & Red Lights Are Flashing Alternatively. I Have Tried Everthing But It's Still The Same When You Turn The Printer Off & On.

remove cartridges and clean them. On the right hand side of the printer you find a casing were all the ink collects, clean that out as well and your printer should be fine
