Bosch WFF 2001 - goes thru wash cycle, tries to rinse, but stops?

Bosch WFF 2001 - It seems to go thru wash cycle fine, altho it seemed longer, then the rinse light comes on and it tries to cycle a bit, but then goes straight to flashing spin light but stops. If I turn programmer to spin it will spin and the washing seems to be fine. All the connections seem good and pump empties machine during wash cycle. Any ideas, thanks

Check the brushes on the motor haven't worn out. new brushes have a full 40mm, but when they get down to about 8mm, they start to fail. Simple job to replace them, just disconnect power, tip machine onto its side for access and remove/replace.
