We have a 2000 ford focus with factory cassette player/radio and we bought a used working cd player to put in instead but it want work, ford dealer said you can't swap players the wiring inside each could be differant, is there anyway we can get it to work or do we need to purchase another player?The cd player is a ford factory player and looks exactly the same.

yes, its all about the wiring. if you have all the blocks on the car wires the cd player wiring then it should be just a case of attaching the blocks together, if the blocks dont fit, you'll need a ford iso lead which will have the right block on it connect the blocks and it should all work

if not...... youll have to join the wires manually ie black to black red+yellow to red etc etc.

make sure you dont have a ny naked wires or it could get ugly

my favourite shop does it for 20 quid
