my mp3 turns on then off and it says starting all thre time can u help

Hi, im having this problem too. Ive tried everything i can think of including shorting out everything on the PCB (while its turned off) in the hope that any stored energy will be removed and it will reset itself. it didnt work.

it doesnt matter if theres a battery in or if its plugged into the PC it does the same thing and doesnt work.

out of curiosity, how did you break yours? this one was broken when it was removed from the PC while the PC was shutting down. that might not be the cause but it would be interesting to know how it happened to everyone else
