what pressure should the expansion tank be?

i have a potterton lynx electronic combi and I notice that the expansion vessel at the rear has what looks like a bike inner tube valve and assume this is for re pressurising the tank what pressure should it be inflated to?

If you call sensible giving technical information to someone whose mechanical ability you know nothing about without any basic advice like SWITCH THE POWER OFF!..... i don't know about you but i see enough d.i.y disasters already just in fitted kitchens and bathrooms without encouraging more.
Experienced advice is a good thing but caution has to be given when you don't know the level of competence of the recipient.

This is not a private e:mail site. It can be read by anyone and the information mis-understood and used by the totally inept.

ya the only equipment needed is a foot pump and a pressure gauge. just make sure you have no pressure in the primary system. (the gauge on the front is reading 0) then pump vessel up to about 0.8 bar. then repressure the primary system.

there is no special tool to do this, thats all a plumber will do.
don't get conned into bulls**t. 20min job.

It has to be done in a very specific way and shouldn't be attempted without the correct equipment and information. Hopefully you haven't released the charge that was in it.
