Is there a DVD recorder that uses 12 volt supply?

I am looking for a DVD recorder that will operate on a 12 volt supply, is there such a machine, or, can I convert a normal, household 240 v unit to run on 12v. Secondly.. Is there such a thing as a multi-region recorder. I have to make DVD recordings for tourists from all over the world, and want to make sure they can watch it when they return home. Will be in a very remote place, near water, hence 12 volt requirement.... HELP!!!
thanks

To run a 240v ac device on 12 v dc you need a box called an Inverter. They are quite commonly available.

There is no such thing as a Region Coded DVD Recorder because only Pre-recorded DVDs are Region Coded.
