Candy Fridge Freezer 'super' light flashing?

Hi, I have just returned from a week away to find the 'super' light on the front of my candy fridge freezer cpc240ff is flashing. I know its been warm weather while I have been away, is this a sign of too high temps inside the fridge or something worse?
It is an old appliance i guess at maybe 5/6 years old and i was wondering if someone can tell me if this is a huge problem that will cost more to fix than the otherwise ok appliance is worth.

thanks

mine did the same, hadnt cleaned it for ages, you have to keep the drain at the back clean and bits free, mine was blocked with black slimy gunk, after a clean its all woking well and superlight not flashing.....yet

We had a similar problem on our Candy. About two months ago we noticed a large slab of ice on the back of the fridge section and the vents in the freezer also blocked with frost/ice.

Performed a manual defrost but fridge back freezing up again.

Then a couple of nights ago noted the ice starting to melt but then had the orange "super" light flashing. Mains reset didn't clear but turning the thermostat to zero then back up again cleared the fault.

The appliance is six years old so the only real conclusion I can draw is that it is reaching the end of its useful life, despite our previous FF (a LEC) lasting 15 years!

Hi, I have had exactly the same fault on my Candy CPCA 240FFK, it says in the instruction manual to contact your local Electricity Company or service dealer? Anyway I thought I would try unplugging it for half an hour then plugging it back in again and the light has now gone out! I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is, perhaps overheating, but I'm hoping that it is OK now.
