how can i fix my hotpoint ultima extra?

can anybody help? my hotpoint ultima fills with water makes a few hi speed turns stops empties the water and acts as if at the end of program.

Just had the Hotpoint engineer in turned out to be a broken wire It was rubbing on the Balance weight at the bottom front of the machine.
