I am trying to get the region code breaker for my awa dp220 dvd player so I can play my dvds from other countries. I have tried the advice you gave above but it is not working. I am looking forward to hearing from you. thank you very much.

1) Make sure the there is no disc in the tray and that it's closed.
2) Type in "1379" on the "Preferences" page
3) A box will come up allowing you to change the Region code from "4" to "0
