Centurian DVD 8.Our portable dvd player has stopped working, it says no disc when we know the disc works, is it worth repairing, could it be the laser has gone?
check if the dvd spins...if it doesnt then replace centre motor

you could check / try another ribbon cable to the laser, if you can get one, although that depends on how it's connected. the one on mine just plugs in either end.
