How do I play American/Canadian DVDs' on Symphonic Combo DVD/VCR?

When I attempt to play American DVDs' on my Symphonic DVD/VCR player, I get the message 'can not play dvd. WRONG REGION.

Most DVD players are region coded that is to say will only play DVDs from theeir own region e.g. Region 1 - USA, Region 2 Europe.

Some players can be 'hacked' to be multi-region. Try searching the web with the argument 'hack' and the make/model of your player.
