Water keeps dripping into tub and it will not stop. Tub will have a couple of gallons of water in it when not used for a few days. Has anybody else had this problem and if so how to fix?

This sure sounds like a bad water valve. If sediment gets in where the valve seats to close off the water, it stays open and water keeps seeping through even if your washer is shut off or unplugged.
