Need the largest outer most gear on my Fellowes DM65C?

Does anyone know where I can get the gear? Easy enough to fix if I can find one. The gear has 2 differenct rows of teeth - the larger outer row has 37 teeth and the smaller inner row has 14. 1 tooth is broken on the outer row and the next one over is bent beyond repair. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Same gear same problem. Fellowes goofed on the design. Gear likely more expensive than a new shredder. Will not be getting a Fellows

I had the same issue, the "Main Gear" which is the largest gear with a "1" molded on the flat side, it has 37 teeth on the large gear and a smaller gear which has 14 teeth and a 6 point hex molded into it to attach to the cutting blades. I called Fellowes and was told that this gear is no longer available, so I made one, and it works great.

If anyone else is in need of this gear for a Fellowes DM65C I will make them one for $15 usd plus shipping, if you have the same gear that is an issue email me at brianscx@comcast.net and I will provide further information.

If you have a different gear that is broken I may be able to make you one but you would have to send me the broken gear so I can mold a new one. The cost for this would be more then the gear itself because of the expense in building a mold before molding the new part, probably around $35 plus shipping

Wade:

Since the ONLY warranty offered by Fellowes is for 1 year, we are stuck after that. They make it seem like we could order parts but then they state that only if they still have them. I completely give up on Fellowes. Seems their units have plastic gears, but I now ordered a Royal model since they have gears made of steel. Good luck. And stay away from Fellowes.

Hi Steve,

I need the exact same gear for the exact same reason. Fellowes doesn't service them. Have searched the web with no results yet. Still trying.
