AEG 5040 Dishwasher leaking? more?

The fault seems to be to do with the plastic chamber on the left hand side which overflows from time to time. I have blown thru the tubes but this did not solve the problem. There is a tube that looks as if it is there to suck out any water from the sump, occasionally water comes out of this tube into the sump. After a time the sump fills up and then the machine goes into the well documented 'Flood protection cycle' when the pump runs all the time.
Can anyone explain what is happening, thanks

Had the exact same problem - tried Keith's suggestion, fixed it first time!

Thanks very much Keith you described exactly what had happened. The clips securing the tube were very difficult to get at. I think that the tube was 75% blocked.
Thanks again

I have had the same problem exactly! I fixed it by cleaning the gunk out of the black pipe which goes from the bottom left of the plastic water matrix to the filter housing.I think that the explanation is :- when the water matrix fills, the water can't get into the machine quickly enough because of the partially blocked transfer pipe, this then causes the water matrix to overflow out of the clear plastic tube and into the under tray.
