Need help with jammed 6 CD player in Ford Escort hatchback?

I have a 2002 Ford Focus hatchback with a 6 CD player. Today at lunch I couldn't get the CDs to eject or play--I keep getting a message saying "CD error". They aren't homemade CDs. Radio and clock work fine. Help please?

Had the same problem. Keep pushing the eject button until the CDs eject. Once I got all the cds out of the player it works fine. Has not jammed since.
