water leak. Hotpoint Ultima WF840 (6kg) 1400 spin. Super Silent?

Water is leaking internally, with no evidence of damaged or loose (assessable or seeable) pipes. The water is coming (constant trickle) from the base (left side front) and not appearing to be warm or hot. I cannot see how to get to the fault, nor can I see how to remove the top or lid, although it is possible to release the back of the lid, the front is firmly attached. Not wishing to cause any damage to the casing, please can you give me any instructions and advise?
