The answer is to clear the pump which you should find on the bottom of the washing machine. Lostening the pump cap is not easy. Ensure you have a container to catch the water that flows from the pump as you have to make it completely empty. Then you can feel around for any junk that is in side. You may have to dislodge the tubbing for the pump to ensure its total clear. Your dial want turn on its own anymore. Make sure you check clothes before putting them in the washing machine. Try to remove any lose dirt to ensure this does not happen again.

count the flashes on the power light when the dial is turning. This gives you the fault code, it should flash a number of times then have a 10 second pause before repeating the code. About the only code most people can rectify themself is 5. This is useally a jammed drain pump.
