How can I remove the centrifical clutch on a Homelite trimmer?

I need to remove the clutch on my Homelite z830SB trimmer (UT 151061) in order to change the pull cord. Do I need a puller? Is it screwed on? What is the secret?

To remove the clutch assembly, do the following
1. remove shaft/handle assembly from main head assembly.
2. remove screw (down in hole in front of clutch drum assembly where flex shaft fits into). You will have to block crankshaft so it will not turn for this step and step 3.
3. clutch plates are threaded on shaft. Place end of shaft on block of wood for support and remove first plate in the direction in which the crankshaft turns (normally counterclockwise when viewed from clutch end). You may have to use a hammer and punch to unlock the plate as they are normally tight due to pressure applied by the clutch. If so, tap on left side of the center bar of the clutch plate(viewed from clutch end) near the shaft. DO NOT TAP ON OUTER FLEX LOBES OF CLUTCH PLATE because they will break.
4. If you are a winner at this point, remove the other plates as above. Now you can remove the housing and fix your pullcord.
5. Reassemble in reverse order.
Hope this helps you as I have just done the same with my PLT 3400 Homelite trimmer. The clutch configuration of both machines are the same, even the part numbers.
