How to shorten a Movado metal wristband?

Any idea how I can do this, I used the tip of a safety pin to push the pin out, its too tight, seems that I need to get a punch.

did my brother seiko kinetic for him, so dont know if this is relevant but..

i found the pins are slightly fatter on one end and they push into a removable coller inside the strap (i didnt realise this when re-fitting, one of the collers had come out with the pin and was still on the bench..pin wouldnt stay in then).

so basically be careful when trying to force the pins as you could be pushing the wrong way & just making it tighter.

hope that helps..

I've got the same problem with another segmented metal watch strap ..... not attempted to shorten it yet, I'll attempt to push the pin out using a small vise or hammer, a small nut - hole behind pin, and some small hardened punch as a drift .... maybe an old small broken drill bit.

If all else fails I'm told link removal is only about £2 at a market watch stall locally .......

......Or watch pin removal tools are on Ebay for about £6 inc delivery.... if you plan to do a few.
