how to change?

indesit w 143 bearing
d bundy, February 2005
You need a torx 40 socket ( halfords sell them for about 3 quid ) and remove the 8 screws from around the outside of the tub at the rear. Then remove the belt and the pulley bolt, you may have to hit this bolt with a hammer (without damaging the centre ) to loosen the loctite ( thread glue).
Now knock one of 4 legs anti clockwise whilst pulling the bearing spider back otherwise the edge of the legs will rip a hole in the tub.
You can either replace the complete spider at about 75 quid or knock out the old bearings & seal & replace them.
Your local domestic appliance repair shop will be able to order these for you or call Indesit their number is on the cabinet insid the door.
