Er..... Im afraid your wrong there, you can unlock certain paid subscription channels on a DVB-T Set Top Box (also DVB-T freeview on a PC) as not all of them are encrypted as you have just stated. By using the correct pin code generator (whose names I will not mention) or alternatively using a piece of paper, a pen and a by following a series of mathematical sums.

This has been capable to do for around 2 years now. Again I will not mention any channels that can be unlocked (one is an adult themed channel) or give any specific details on how to do this. For those people that wish to look into this, (for educational purposes of coarse) can find heaps of information about this on the web. Try searching for "freeview keygen" should link you to a few forum sites that can offer more info on this.

I forgot to say that being able to 'unlock' DVB-T Set Top Boxes and TVs with some 'magic' codes is a common urban myth. Next time 'the man in the pub' tells you it can be done, invite him round to do it.

There is no such thing. A Freeview box is just that Free to View DVB-T Channels.

To view subscription TV (TUTV) your DVB-T Set Top Box needs a Decrypter and a Conditional Access (CA) Card Smart Card Reader or it is not capable of viewing TUTV. Then you need a CA Viewing Card and they only come from the subscription channels. (Plus they have not been hacked.)
