How do I fix the balance control for my car sound system?

How can I fix the balance control system to receive sound from the left (drivers side) side of my 2003 subaru legacy? Is there a code that can be used or do I have to take it to a repair shop?

USE THE MENU SOMEWHERE ON THE RADIO IT HAS BALANCE/BASS/TREBLE/FADE NOT ALL MODELS HAVE ALL FEATURES, AND THE BUTTON MAY NOT SAY MENU.
IT MAY SAY FUNCTION.
PRESS IT TILL IT SAYS BAL THEN PLAY WITH DIFFERENT KNOBS /BUTTONS TILL YOU SEE IT DISPLAY L/R
NEXT TO THE LEFT/RIGHT THE NUMBERS SHOULD CHANGE.
IF THE NUMBERS ARE CHANGING BUT THE SOUND ISNT MOVING AROUND TO THE CORRECT SPEAKERS, THEN YOU HAVE A SPEAKER / OR ADJUSTMENT KNOB PROBLEM.
WITH LITTLE PATIENCE AND SOME CONTACT CLEANER SPRAY , AVAILABLE AT AUTOZONE YOU CAN CLEAN THE KNOB CONTACTS INSIDE THE RADIO
AFTER YOU DICONNECT THE POWER AND REMOVE THE RADIO AND THE TOP FROM YOUR CAR.
GOOD LUCK
I HOPE ITS JUST A FUNCTION ADJUSTMENT
