why has my napa 128mb mp3 player stopped coming on?

First when i used to put my mp3 on it said please reformat, so i borrowed a napa cd of my freind and downloaded some firmware but now it does not come on?

download firmare version 2.8 and on the file it will say reformat napa mp3s click on the one that says napa 128 and click the button saying format
