I have the same problem, with the same set. I just spoke with Emerson Customer Support (800-256-2487, option 1) and they gave me a fax number (310-320-0571) to send a copy of my receipt, my name, address, phone number, model # and serial#, to the attention of "Fernando." They will supposedly call back within a week, have UPS pick it up, fix it at their cost, and ship it back.
I purchased mine in November, 2006.
