I have a Classic CDR201 compact disc recorder/player. It is about three years old. When you put a cd in the play side the display says "no disc". What can I do to repair this problem? Or is it hopeless.

I would open up the cover and look for the unit where it reads the discs>>THe lasers eye. Get some alcohol and put some on a Q-Tip swab and clean the glass eye unit. It might have build up on it after three years of use. Or the laser unit that reads the disc could be getting worn out? Give it a shot it might work?
