What is the problem when the error code 192 pops up when I start my IBM Thinkpad 600?

It could be one of several things. (One of which is the fan so beware using it until you have fixed the problem.) The way to find out what the problem is is work your way through the diagnostics in the Hardware Maint. Manual. You can download that manual from www.lenovo.com. (Lenovo own all of IBM's PC assets now.)
