My GE gas stove/range with electronic ignition does the same thing. www.repair-help.com says that one of the spark ignition switches located on/under the gas control Knob is faulty and to find out which one you have to disconect a wire from each knob in turn in turn, then install a new switch. They cost about $50 over here in the USA. ALWAYS disconect power each time you remove a wire and BE CAREFULL.
