How can you mend the string/cord if it has broken?

Bascially, I'm renting a place and the blind has broken. The string/cord has snapped so the blind doesn't really work. Is there any way of mending the cord? By that I mean one of the two strings which go through the slats.Any help would be much appreciate!!

It is very easy. Just find the same size cord and re thread it through the holes. Use one long piece, start on the left bottom then go up through all the holes, over, make a long loop, then down the other side. Tie a knot on the left side when you start.

you could try sewing the string together so its not a knot in the string , it should work that way
