How can I fix the screen on my Mintek Portable dvd player?

The screen on my Mintek Portable dvd player is black with the slightest hint of a screen displaying when the battery is fully charged and first attached. I can hear the sound perfectly but not picture. Can it be fixed?

Hi,
I wish I had an answer for you because my Mintek DVD player screen also went black! Sound is fine.. battery full charge. The owners manual has no contact info for repair center...nothing.
Let me know what you find out.if anything and I will do the same.
