Shredder doesn't shut off after sheet feeds thru,,?

I have a Fellowes P-45C. When I feed paper into the shredder it continues running instead of shutting down.
What should I do besides lubbing the teeth?

King Arthur is correct never ever use petroleum or aerosol based products on a shredder unless you look for the oppurtunity to start a fire. He's also right that it is a sensor issue, and how to clean it. If you have more questions about your shredder Fellowes Customer Service will be glad to answer your Questions. !-800-945-4545.

there is a paper sensor that may need cleaning, if it is an LED clean it with a cotton bud. SWITCH OFF the m/c first.
Never use WD 40 on a shredder, use proper shredder oil. Take a piece of paper & place oil on it & place another piece on top, you are making a "sandwich" of the oil, then shred the paper. If you don't put the oil between the paper then the oil can contaminate the sensor

My shredder does this is there is paper jammed in there. Sometimes it might go unnoticed. Have you tried spraying a little WD40 onto an A4 sheet of paper and putting it through shredder. They all need this treatment on a regular basis depending on use.
