glowworm ultimate 40ff?

i put the boiler on and the pilot lights but the main gas burner wont light up,the ignition just keeps sparking,i have replaced the pcb but it is still happening.

I had this same problem, eventually found that it was sparking on the case as mentioned. I used insulating tape like others, but will now look at replacing with a more sturdy fix. Thanks

Got the same problem with my ultimate, its sparking but not firing up, I have looked and realised that its actualy sparking onto the casing and the wire is slightlty charred, insualting tape works for a while but a new lead is required.

A common problem on the ultimate is the ignition lead shorting out on the casing where it enters the combustion chamber, I find that insulating the lead with silicone tubing cures this problem.
I have found them insulated with electrical tape, this works fine for a while but the heat causes it to break down.

it is either a choked pilot or the electrode is faulty the message is not getting back to the pcb to go to the second stage this is a job for a competent corgi registered engineer
