How can I fix my [GS-Magic stor 1040A]?

when i plug it into my computer it detects the drive is there but i cannot acces it.

i have tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it and no luck.
any ideas?

I accidently washed my drive and it doesn't work either. Vista makes a sound when I insert/remove but no icon appears in hte control panel.
