the drill does not work at all . how do i test the speed control with a ohm meter.to see if it is good or not

Pop the brushes out & have a look, some have a little cutout that will pop up & stop the motor when they are worn down to protect the motor from damage.

the cord is good and the onoff swith is good but i have no power going through the speed control could the brushes be bad

I would check the plug, supply cable & carbon brushes before testing the switch.

Also if you need parts you will need to quote the Bosch 10 digit id number, machine model numbers are useless when trying to match up Bosch parts & drawings.
