Hi first of all there is no filter on the outside of this washer its underneeth .You need to UNPLUG the washer and disconect the blue and red hose not forgeting to turn the water off .If you stand infront of the machine and then lay it on its side .THE SIDE WERE THE SOAP DRAW IS no other side this will allow any water to escape at its lowest level and will not run in to the electrics .Now follow the grey outlet pipe to the bottom of washer it will conect to the pump then to a filter normaly a black hosewith a small sump compartment undo clips and inspect if your feeling ok you could check out the pump normaly whit/black undo three srews and inspect .Is the RINSEHOLD botton or CREASECARE botton switched on as this will allso stop it spinning ,Check carbon brushes in motor and replace if needbe .if not sure ring me I give FREE info just tell a member of staff you were on this web site
